Privacy notice
emyas is a pilot service operated by an individual founder in the United Kingdom. Last updated: July 2026.
What we collect
Your email address and password when you create an account. Photos of garments you choose to upload, and the descriptions our AI generates from them. Body measurements, if you choose to enter them. Photos you use in the try-on tool. Your reactions to recommendations (likes, dislikes, clicks), which we use to build a style profile so recommendations improve over time. Full looks you choose to save, including the wardrobe items and purchase suggestions that made them up.
During onboarding we also ask for four preferences that are stored on your profile: gender, age range, shopping-section preference, and whether you want unisex items included where available. Gender and age range help us understand how emyas works for different groups; they do not determine your measurements or size. Your shopping-section preference controls which retailer sections we prioritise. You can edit these fields in Settings. Raw demographic data is not shared with retailers. Deleting your account removes this profile data with the rest of your account.
What we do with it
We use your data for one purpose: providing the service — identifying your garments, generating styling recommendations, rendering try-ons, and learning your preferences. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
Where it lives and who processes it
Account data, garment photos, measurements, and style profiles are stored with Supabase on servers in the European Union. Garment photos are held in private storage accessible only to your account. Two AI providers act as processors: Anthropic (Claude) analyses garment photos and generates recommendations, and fal.ai renders try-on images. Try-on photos are processed transiently and are not retained by fal.ai; results are returned directly to you and not stored on their servers. Recommendation links point to third-party retailers; once you leave emyas, their privacy policies apply.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete a garment and its photo and description are removed immediately. Delete your account and everything goes with it — profile, photos, measurements, recommendations, saved looks, and style profile.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Garment deletion is built into the app. For account deletion, data export, or any other request, contact us and it will be actioned promptly. Under UK GDPR you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
